Sloth Sukiyaki & Shabu Bar has a new concept: a private single-pot shabu. Food is served as a set — beef/pork, a vegetable set, snacks, dipping sauce, unlimited rice refills, and dessert, all filling you up completely in a single set. The meat quality is really good, service is good, prices aren't too steep, and it's fine to go solo and still be full.
Choose between a 2-compartment single-pot shabu (bonito, tonkotsu, kombu, or mala broth) or a rich Japanese-style sukiyaki broth. Recommended beef: A4 Kagoshima Japanese Wagyu (695), Wagyu Karubi Set (385) — we loved both. Pork options include Satsuma Pork Shoulder (365) and Pork Belly Set (265); salmon (335) is available too.
Upgrade your rice refill to garlic fried rice or udon for an extra 30 baht. Tempura shrimp, 75 baht, gets you 2 shrimp with a light, crispy batter. The snack while waiting is small, crispy, salty fried fish, fun to munch on. True Digital Park 101 branch, 2nd floor, open 11 AM-9 PM.
