Privacy Policy
Last updated September 11, 2026
This policy explains what personal data the OopsLife website at oopslife.me (“we”) collects from visitors, what we do with it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights over your own data under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).
OopsLife is a lifestyle blog connected to the facebook.com/oopsdelish page. This site is read-only: there are no user accounts, no logins, no shopping cart, and no comment threads.
What we collect
- Website usage data (Google Analytics 4) — pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, approximate country/region, and the page you arrived from. This is collected only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie bar. If you choose “Essential only”, Google Analytics is never loaded.
- Your cookie choice — stored in your browser’s own storage (localStorage) so we remember your preference and don’t ask again. This value is not sent to our servers.
- Server logs — the site is hosted on Google’s Firebase Hosting, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type, timestamp) briefly for security and troubleshooting. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.
- Anything you send us — if you contact us by email, Facebook, or LINE, we see your name/handle, your message, and any files you send. We use this only to reply and handle what you contacted us about.
What we don’t do
We do not sell or rent your personal data. There is no membership system asking you to hand over information, we run no person-level retargeting ads of our own, and we do not try to identify individual readers. The statistics we look at are aggregate.
Cookies and third-party tracking
- Google Analytics sets cookies to tell anonymous visits apart. It loads only with your consent.
- Affiliate links — some articles link to shops or services such as Lazada, Klook, or Agoda. When you click through, the destination may set its own cookies so we get referral credit. We may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you; what happens to your data after that is governed by the destination’s policy.
- Embedded content (such as YouTube video clips or Facebook posts in some articles) loads directly from that provider and may set its own cookies when you play or interact with it.
Third-party services we use
- Google — Firebase Hosting (hosting) and Google Analytics 4 (statistics)
- Cloudinary and Cloudflare — storing and delivering image files via CDN
- Affiliate platforms as noted above, when you click a link leaving our site
These providers may process data on servers outside Thailand, under their own privacy policies and data-protection safeguards.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics is configured to retain user- and event-level data for no more than 14 months, then delete it automatically. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to reply and operate, then deleted when no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you have the right to access, obtain a copy of, correct, delete, restrict the use of, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent.
- Withdraw cookie consent — clear site data / localStorage for oopslife.me in your browser, and the cookie bar will reappear on your next visit.
- Block Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on, or use a private window / script blocker.
- Exercise other rights or complain — email oopslifethailand@gmail.com. We will act within the timeframe the law requires. If you are unsatisfied with the outcome, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 20, and we do not knowingly collect data from children directly. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The current version always shows a “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
