CMF, Nothing's sub-brand that usually makes earbuds and phones, has made its first portable speakers. They launched globally on 12 October 2026 and went on sale in Thailand on 15 October. There are two sizes, the CMF Speaker S and CMF Speaker M, both with a geometric shape inspired by a milk carton. International outlets have taken to calling them the milk-carton speakers.

Small one to carry, big one to set down

The Speaker S is tall and compact, with a built-in anchor point for a bag strap or carabiner. It uses a 45 mm full-range driver with two passive radiators for 10W RMS and a 70Hz-20kHz range. The Speaker M is bigger, with a built-in handle and a sealed two-driver design: a 25W woofer and a 10W tweeter for 35W RMS and 60Hz-20kHz. European retailer Galaxus lists them at about 334 g and 602 g.

Swap the face, or 3D-print your own

Both come in four colours: White, Dark Grey, Orange and Turquoise. The front panel and knob are removable, and CMF says you can make your own parts with a standard 3D printer. The knob handles play/pause, track skips, volume and Ultra Bass. A separate button covers power, Bluetooth pairing and Auracast.

Features you'll actually use

Adaptive Tuning adjusts the EQ automatically to what's playing, alongside Ultra Bass, Wide Soundstage and four EQ presets in the Nothing X app (Balanced, More Bass, More Treble, Voice). Two speakers of the same model pair as left and right in Stereo Mode (Malaysia's SoyaCincau reports an S and an M can't be paired together). Party Mode uses Auracast to sync several speakers at once, including other brands that support the standard.

Connectivity covers Bluetooth 6.0, NFC tap-to-pair, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, two-device connection and USB-C audio. They're IP68, surviving 1.5 m of water for 30 minutes. Battery is up to 18 hours, and a 10-minute charge gives 1 hour.

Price and launch offers

The Speaker S is 2,699 baht and the Speaker M 4,299 baht (US$59 and US$109 in the US). They're sold at AIS, Banana, Dotlife, Power Buy and True, and online on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. Launch offers include up to 20% off online, or an instant 20% off when bought with a smartphone on the same bill at participating stores.

In our view, the Speaker S is the more interesting pick for most people: under 3,000 baht with both IP68 and Auracast, a combination that's rare at this price. If you want room-filling sound for parties, the M still costs less than two S units paired in stereo.
