A relaxed Tokyo trip, staying at Hotel Groove Shinjuku, A Parkroyal Hotel — a grand hotel in a newer building in the Kabukicho area, not far to walk from the train. On the first night we tried Mo-Mo-Paradise Shinjuku Meiji Dori — the beef was better than in Thailand, and the eggs were noticeably more delicious.
There's sweet tamagoyaki around Tsukiji, both hot and cold versions. Matcha Stand Maruni uses tea from Kyoto and is genuinely delicious. Wagyu curry bread was tasty too. We took photos at Asakusa Temple, then stopped at a cafe near Tokyo Station for green tea and strawberry shaved ice, sweet and mellow.
Cat Street has plenty of clothing shops — we stopped at The Roastery by Nozy Coffee (delicious) and the clothing shop THISISNEVERTHAT. We also tried the currently-trending Shogun Burger, but the meat wasn't cooked well and had tough sinew. We finished with cold ramen at Soushi Menya Musashi, where everything was delicious — the chashu, the noodles, the broth.
