Today we're stopping by a place many of you already know well: The Diplomat Bar at Conrad Bangkok. This is one of the truly classic spots, but it's brought in new touches to compete with newer bars — a live 3-piece band, Mystique, playing great music, plus a full food and cocktail menu. The Tokyo Martini comes with a Mount Fuji-shaped ice cube, while the Apollo, a vanilla vodka with citrus notes, is beautifully done.

The food is excellent too — Fine de Claire oysters from France, Tokyo Chips (French fries coated in a crispy seaweed-sesame batter), and hummus with homemade sourdough bread. There's a Happy Hour from 5–8 PM, buy 2 drinks for the price of 1, plus a free-flow package at 588++ baht for unlimited Singha beer, or 888++ baht for Singha beer and house wine.
