This year marks the hotel's 150th anniversary, so they went all out with a mooncake collection whose box design draws specifically on the hotel's history on the Chao Phraya riverbank. The gold octagonal box is gorgeous ✨

I ordered the pure Custard flavor since it's my favorite — I have it every year without fail, and the flavor never changes, just as delicious every single time 🍮 Bright golden-yellow, with a dense, impossibly smooth filling and a gentle egg-yolk aroma, that classic sweet-savory balance that's easy for the Thai palate to love. Cut it in half and the filling comes out perfectly smooth with no cracks — clearly handcrafted. The fan pattern pressed into the cake is sharp and beautiful.
