Finally got to eat here — last time in Taiwan we missed our chance, so being in Japan meant we had to hit Hikiniku to Come (Kyoto). It's a restaurant serving hamburg patties eaten with rice, grilled and served one patty at a time. One set comes with 3 patties, extras can be ordered, plus 1 raw egg to mix into the rice and about 7-8 sauces.

The first patty we ate plain with rice, the second with yuzu sauce and grated daikon, and the third we finished with raw egg mixed into rice, layering in more seasoning as we went for gradually deeper flavor. The meat is grilled to a perfectly juicy doneness. It costs around 1,000–1,200 baht, and you'll need to book ahead since it gets packed — the Kyoto branch tends to have the most open slots.
