An international buffet joined by an Oktoberfest festival of classic German food, at Rain Tree Cafe, The Athenee Hotel. On top of the full international lineup, they've added a German food line as well.
The highlights are German pork knuckle, grilled German sausages, German-style fried pork (schnitzel), and genuinely impressive meatballs. There's German potato salad, bacon coleslaw, and for dessert, apple strudel with vanilla sauce and Bavarian pancakes.
The international line is fully stocked too: seafood on ice with prawns, scallops, French oysters, Alaskan crab legs, a grill station with roast beef and roast lamb, a full Chinese-Thai-Indian spread, cold cuts with parma ham served alongside fragrant cantaloupe, fresh sushi and sashimi, and a banana ice cream flavor that's hard to find elsewhere.
