Inviting you to hit up the international buffet at Savio Restaurant, in the newly opened Chatrium Grand Bangkok hotel in the heart of the city. The food lineup might not be as massive as some other places, but the quality of what's curated doesn't lose to anyone. The Japanese station has genuinely fresh sashimi, and the seafood-on-ice station has springy, sweet fresh lobster, Fine de Claire oysters, New Zealand mussels, sweet clams, blue swimmer crab, shrimp, and mantis shrimp, all present. The meat station covers Australian black Angus, lamb, scallops, and foie gras.
There's made-to-order teppanyaki, and the Indian food is genuinely well-done and delicious. For Thai food, we'd recommend the bold crab curry with betel leaf. The dim sum is shout-out-loud good, plus Chinese-style beef noodles and a tasty carbonara pasta. Cold cuts and cheese are all covered too. The absolute highlight is unlimited Häagen-Dazs ice cream, with flavors like bubble milk tea, strawberry cheesecake, raspberry brownie, red velvet, caramel biscuit, and mango sorbet. We finished with TWG tea.
