"Simmer" is a Western restaurant serving both brunch and dinner in the Phran Nok–Phutthamonthon area. This place is trending hard right now — a new opening from last year. The food has quietly reworked touches, giving each dish its own signature spin, and it's executed well.
The steak is as good as a dedicated steakhouse. Anything served with bread here has genuinely excellent bread. Anything creamy is satisfyingly rich; the soup is thick enough to pass for a sauce, and dipping bread in it is the best part. Every pasta dish is delicious. The Caesar salad looks plain but is good enough that we ordered two (with orange zest grated on top, too).
We went on New Year's Day, January 1st, and every table was full, but the staff handled it well — great service, and the food didn't come out slow despite how busy it was. In short, we'd recommend this place. There's a coffee shop in the same compound too, so you can grab coffee afterward — good coffee at a good price. Simmer has parking, and it's open 11:00 AM–10:00 PM daily.
