The Mazda CX-6e, an all-electric SUV that launched in Thailand in early October 2026 at THB 1,259,000 (Premium) and THB 1,299,000 (Premium Sports), has one hero colour: Nightfall Violet. Plain disclosure first: we haven't seen or sat in the car. Everything here comes from Mazda Thailand's website and brochure, and the opinions are formed from photos and specs.

A violet that changes with the light
Of the six colours sold in Thailand (Nightfall Violet, Machine Gray, Soul Red Crystal, Crystal White Pearl, Aero Gray and Jet Black), only one is a real statement. Mazda says Nightfall Violet is inspired by the dusk sky: mysterious and almost black in shade, a lively violet in light. In the brochure it's paired with a Jet Black roof. Think of an aubergine blazer that stands in for black all day without anyone calling it too much. German media report that more than half of pre-orders there chose this colour.
The proportions help. The car is 4,850 mm long on a 2,902 mm wheelbase, the tail lamps are a two-piece Cross Wing, and Premium Sports wears 21-inch wheels (Premium gets 19s). To our eye, big wheels and a dark body make an SUV look leaner, like heels with a single-colour outfit.

The violet goes all the way to the seats
The cabin is what makes this a Style story. Both grades get a panoramic glass roof with a power shade, 256-colour ambient light that moves with the music, an AR windshield head-up display, a PM2.5 air purifier, and heated and ventilated front seats. For violet inside too, you need Premium Sports: two-tone purple-and-white leather seats and trim, plus rear seat heating and ventilation. Premium gets black leather and fabric. Mazda Europe says the interior follows the Japanese idea of "Ma", which values space and balance. Violet paint with a purple-and-white cabin is tonal dressing for a car.

Pretty, and it still has to work
The boot holds 468 L, or up to 1,434 L with the 60:40 rear seats folded, plus an 80 L front trunk. Pet Comfort mode keeps the cabin temperature steady for pets, and Relax and Rest modes are for breaks in the car. It's rear-wheel drive with 258 hp and a 77.9 kWh LFP battery. Premium is rated 555 km NEDC (484 km WLTP); Premium Sports on 21s is rated 524 km NEDC (468 km WLTP). Real-world range depends on how you drive.
Who it suits
We think it suits people who like Mazda's lines but need SUV space, people who dress in one colour head to toe, and pet parents who don't want to choose between a pretty car and a practical one. If colour is the reason you're buying, the THB 40,000 step up to Premium Sports is the price of the purple-and-white cabin that completes the look.

In our opinion (based on photos and specs, not a drive), if you're buying the CX-6e for the design, buy it in violet. That's the colour that sets it apart from other electric SUVs. But see it both in the showroom and in sunlight first, because this colour is judged by the light.
