Most EVs get sold on battery and range numbers. The Mazda CX-6e, priced in Thailand in early October, has another angle gadget people will want to zoom in on: everything between the driver and the road. It costs THB 1,259,000 (Premium) and THB 1,299,000 (Premium Sports). Plain disclosure: we have not driven or sat in this car. Everything here comes from Mazda Thailand's official site and brochure.
One screen, wall to wall
Both trims get a 26.45-inch centre display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (Android 10+), plus an AR head-up display Mazda calls the Windshield Active Driving Display. You can control it by voice or with 8 hand gestures, and it takes over-the-air software updates, so like a phone, the car can still change after it leaves the showroom.

Mirrors that are cameras
The Premium Sports gets digital side mirrors and a digital rear-view mirror: cameras feeding screens, which Mazda says stay clear day and night. The Premium keeps conventional power-folding side mirrors. Both trims have a 360-degree camera with See-Through View, which shows the ground under the car.

Sound in the headrest
There are 23 speakers, including ones in the driver's headrest for Personalized Headrest Audio, which Mazda says separates the driver's audio from the main cabin system. If it works as described, navigation prompts won't cut into the back seat's playlist. There's also 256-colour ambient lighting that moves with the music, wireless phone charging and a PM2.5 air purifier with an ionizer.
Your phone is the key
The MAZDA 6e app (the name Mazda uses on its site and brochure) turns your phone into a Bluetooth key you can share with up to 3 people. It also handles remote lock, windows, tailgate, pre-cooling and seat ventilation, status checks (doors, windows, battery, tyre pressure) and charge scheduling.

There are four Vehicle Modes: Relax, Rest, Pet Comfort and Wash (which preps the car for an automatic car wash). Mazda doesn't say how long Pet Comfort runs, so don't read it as permission to leave a pet in the car for long.

Charging
The 77.9 kWh LFP battery gives up to 555 km NEDC / 484 km WLTP (Premium) or 524 / 468 km (Premium Sports). DC peaks at 194 kW, and 30–80% takes 15 minutes on a 200 kW+ charger. AC at 11 kW takes about 7 h 53 min from 0 to 100%.

Where the hardware comes from
Mazda says the CX-6e is its second EV developed with Chongqing Changan Automobile, after the Mazda 6e, and builds on the Mazda EZ-60 shown at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show. Thai media report it is built by Changan Mazda Automobile in China and imported fully built.
In our view, if you're buying purely on tech, the THB 40,000 step up to Premium Sports only makes sense if you really want digital mirrors. The Premium gets the same HUD, app and OTA updates, and it goes further on a charge.
