Apple introduced the next-generation Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026, positioning it as the fullest, most realistic home theater experience it has ever built, with faster performance and deeper ties to Apple Home as a smart home hub.
"The new Apple TV 4K delivers our most immersive home theater experience yet," said Bob Borchers, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. "Paired with HomePod, you get the best surround sound we've ever offered, and it's now part of the most connected Apple Home we've ever built, working together with HomeView and HomePod mini 2."
Faster performance, a smarter remote
The A19 chip inside the new Apple TV 4K delivers up to 50% faster CPU performance and up to 2x faster GPU performance compared to the previous generation, for quicker response times, faster scrolling, and smoother animations. It also ships with a dedicated AV1 decoder, making high-quality streaming more efficient while using less bandwidth.
The new Siri Remote keeps its familiar design but adds support for Find My precision finding, plus the option to play a sound from the remote to help locate it. Precision finding requires the Siri Remote (4th generation) paired with an iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, or iPhone 17 or later (excluding iPhone 17e) running the latest iOS, with availability varying by region. The sound-based locating feature is exclusive to the newest Siri Remote.
Apple's fullest home theater experience yet
The headline feature is the first-ever 4-speaker surround sound setup, built from an Apple TV 4K (4th generation) paired with four HomePod mini 2 units. The speakers work together with Apple TV 4K to automatically sense each speaker's position in the room, then calibrate volume and timing to fit the space. HomePod (2nd generation) can also be used in the 4-speaker setup, as long as the front and back pairs match.
A more capable home hub
The new Apple TV 4K remains a powerful home hub, letting you control smart home accessories from anywhere. Paired with a compatible video doorbell, notifications appear directly on the TV, so you can see who's at the door, talk to visitors, and unlock the door without interrupting what you're watching. It supports automations, Guest Mode, and HomeKit Secure Video processing, with built-in Wi-Fi and Thread for smoother smart home connectivity.
More than just a way to watch
The Apple TV app offers hundreds of Apple Original dramas, sci-fi, and comedies, plus live sports like Formula 1 (in the US), Major League Soccer, and Friday Night Baseball. You can FaceTime with Continuity Camera and view photos on the big screen, and now customize what iCloud Photos shows via iPhone or iPad, picking specific albums for memories, slideshows, or the screensaver instead of pulling from your whole library. A new randomized screensaver also rotates automatically through categories to keep things fresh.
Built with privacy and security in mind
The A19 chip in Apple TV 4K includes Secure Exclaves, a protected, isolated environment for processing microphone data separately from the rest of the system — inaccessible to tvOS, apps, the user, or even Apple. HomeKit Secure Video footage is similarly end-to-end encrypted, with Apple unable to access it.
On the environmental side, Apple TV 4K uses recycled gold and 100% recycled tin solder plating on its circuit boards, 100% recycled rare earth elements in every magnet, 80% recycled aluminum in the thermal module, and a 100% recycled aluminum Siri Remote enclosure. Packaging is 100% wood fiber and recyclable.
Pricing and availability: the Apple TV 4K (4th generation) is priced at THB 10,900 and coming to Thailand soon, with no exact date announced yet. The new Siri Remote is compatible with Apple TV HD and previous Apple TV 4K models and is also sold separately; Find My support works on Siri Remote (2nd generation) or later.
