Apple introduced HomePod mini 2 on October 13, 2026, with striking new colors and a fuller sound experience. It works as a single speaker, a stereo pair, or part of a multiroom setup, and when paired with the new Apple TV 4K, it supports 4-speaker surround sound — Apple's fullest home theater setup yet.
"HomePod mini is more useful than ever," said Kaiann Drance, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Home Product Marketing. "With beautiful new colors, incredible sound, and the ability to control music, accessories, and your whole smart home with just your voice, HomePod mini is the ultimate speaker for every room."
HomePod mini 2 comes in five colors: pink, green, blue, white and midnight. Each color ships with a perfectly matching charging cable.

A fuller, more realistic sound experience
HomePod mini delivers 360-degree sound in a compact size, powered by the Apple S10 chip and advanced computational audio that analyzes music in real time to optimize dynamic range, loudness and acoustic performance. For the first time, a 4-speaker surround setup is possible using an Apple TV 4K (4th generation) with four HomePod mini 2 units — the speakers sense each other's position in the room and automatically calibrate volume and timing to fit the space.

The new HomePod mini can also act as a Mac's default speaker, delivering wide, immersive sound for everything from movies and games to FaceTime and video calls (requires a Mac with Wi-Fi 6E or later, and works with a single HomePod or a stereo pair). With matching colors, it also makes for a cohesive desk setup alongside a Mac.

Introducing Sound Glow
The headline new feature is Sound Glow: the top of HomePod mini becomes a glowing, pulsing canvas that moves in time with the music, responding to bass and treble in real time. The currently playing song's album art generates a matching light experience unique to that track, and ambient sounds like rain trigger custom animations designed for a calming atmosphere. (Voice-activated Sound Glow requires an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone on the latest software.)

Effortless smart home management
HomePod mini can handle a sequence of smart home actions with a single voice command — locking the front door, closing the garage, lowering the blinds, adjusting the temperature, or turning off the lights at bedtime. Automations and scenes that control multiple accessories at once can be set up through the Home app, and accessories can be controlled securely from iPhone whether you're home or away.

Sound Recognition adds peace of mind by listening for smoke or carbon monoxide alarms and immediately alerting your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch if one is detected (this requires updated home architecture and the latest software on every Apple device accessing the home, and shouldn't be relied on in high-risk or emergency situations). Through the Home app, you can also Check In via HomePod mini to listen and talk to people at home.

Privacy and environmental notes
As with every Apple product, privacy is foundational: Siri requests aren't stored by default. On the environmental side, HomePod mini 2 uses 100% recycled rare earth elements in every magnet, along with 100% recycled copper, gold plating and tin solder across all Apple-designed circuit boards. Packaging is 100% wood fiber and recyclable.
Pricing and availability: HomePod mini 2 is priced at THB 5,200 across every color and is coming to Thailand soon, with no exact date announced yet. It requires HomePod software 27.2.
