Fujifilm (Thailand) has launched the instax Pal 2, a new pocket digital camera under the theme "fits with you", aimed at young people who shoot to share on social media. It goes on sale September 29, 2026 at 5,690 baht.
The main upgrades over the first model: a 1/3.06-inch sensor with resolution doubled from 5 to 10 megapixels, on-board storage for 100 shots (up from 50), and microSD card support for more space.
Design and handling
The body has a top screen to review shots right away, a viewfinder, a control dial and a lever that feels different from shooting on a phone. A semi-matte finish keeps it looking premium next to everyday outfits, and it comes with a hand strap and an angle accessory that works as a stand.
30 effects in 5 themes
The headline feature is 30 image effects in five themes: Modern (natural tones), Y2K (classic digital-camera look), Vintage, Chromatic (vivid colour) and Fantasy (dreamy textures). Download them in the instax Pal app, store up to 6 in the camera and switch with the dial. Four frame formats are available: mini, SQUARE, WIDE and No Frame.
Photos can be sent straight to instax Link series printers or to the instax Evo and instax LiPlay hybrid cameras.
instax Animation mode
Push the lever to shoot up to 10 frames in a burst; the camera turns them into a flipbook-style video automatically, which can be converted into a QR code printed on instax film so it can be scanned later. Transferring photos to the app works over Bluetooth or a USB Type-C cable at roughly 0.7 seconds per photo.
instax Link WIDE 2 printer
Fujifilm also launched the instax Link WIDE 2 smartphone printer under the theme "get more in the mix". It prints instax WIDE film, twice the size of mini film. The highlight is Photo Mixer, which combines several favourite photos into a postcard-style collage on one sheet. It comes in Duo Beige and Duo Blue, has faster Bluetooth, and connects to smartphones, tablets, computers, X Series cameras and the instax Pal 2. Price: 6,090 baht.
Launch events
On September 26, 2026 there is an instax Photo (DUMP) Ride at Siam Square under the theme "Chilling with the vibe. Capture what feels right." It starts at FUJIFILM House of Photography, then a MuvMi ride around Siam while you take photo-dump shots, with a chance to win an instax Pal 2. Only 25 spots; register via the instax Thailand Facebook page.
There is also a Touch & Try programme at 16 dealer stores across Bangkok, including CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, EmQuartier and Mega Bangna, running since September 15, 2026.
