2,999 baht, yet it has both adaptive ANC and LDAC. That's the pitch for the HUAWEI FreeBuds Neo, new earbuds that TECHHaus Thailand reports go on sale in Thailand on 31 October 2026. The team already has a pair in hand.

Tried on: small, cute, snug

The first thing the TECHHaus team noticed was the egg-shaped case, which is genuinely cute, and how compact it is. When they tried the buds on, the fit was very good, and in their use the ANC really does cut out noise. On paper, each earbud weighs about 4.8 g and the case about 31.4 g, with a short-stem design.

ANC and sound (official specs)

HUAWEI describes the ANC as adaptive to your surroundings, with an average of 30 dB across the full frequency range and up to 55 dB in certain bands (HUAWEI lab tests to IEC 60268-24). It uses an 11 mm dynamic driver and supports LDAC at up to 990 kbps with a phone that supports it. With compatible HUAWEI devices it can stream 48kHz/24-bit lossless audio at up to 2.3 Mbps (PHILE WEB identifies this as HUAWEI's L2HC codec). Japanese media report it carries the Hi-Res Audio mark, and it has Spatial Audio with head tracking.

For calls, there are three mics plus a bone-conduction sensor to pick up your voice. HUAWEI claims calls stay clear in noise up to 95 dB.

Battery and other specs

The buds last 10 hours with ANC off and 6.5 hours with it on, or 40 and 24 hours with the case (lab figures, AAC at 50% volume). Charging is via USB-C, and an empty case takes about 70 minutes to fill. The earbuds are IP55 rated, but the case is not. It runs Bluetooth 6.0 and connects to two devices at once, even across iOS and Android.

HUAWEI Thailand's website lists four colours: Stellar Silver, Nebula Pink, Ice White and Starry Black.

Does it work with an iPhone?

Yes. ANC, EQ and Spatial Audio are adjusted in the HUAWEI Audio Connect app, which runs on iOS 13 and Android 8 or later. iPhones don't support LDAC, so audio goes over AAC instead. The 2.3 Mbps streaming and online earbud finding only work with HUAWEI devices (online finding needs HarmonyOS 2.0 or later).

Price and availability

The price is 2,999 baht, with sales starting on 31 October 2026. As of writing (30 October), HUAWEI Thailand's website doesn't yet show the price or launch offers. TECHHaus's verdict: if you already use HUAWEI devices, "just get it, no need to think."

In our view, 30 dB average ANC plus LDAC for 2,999 baht is more than fair value. HUAWEI phone owners get the full package. iPhone users still get the ANC and the cute case, just not LDAC.
