Apple has invited press to a hands-on event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (midnight going into 29 October, Thai time). MacRumors reports the invitation carries the tagline “Pro and Tell”. Before that, Apple marketing SVP Greg Joswiak posted on X: “Can't wait to pro and tell next week.”

What's confirmed, and what's still rumour

The date, location and format are confirmed. This is not a livestreamed keynote like September's. Invited press get hands-on time, and everyone else will likely see the news through press releases the same day. Apple has not confirmed any of the products below.

An OLED MacBook Pro you can touch

The most talked-about product is a high-end 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro rumoured to have an OLED touchscreen. If true, it would be the first Mac with a touch display. MacRumors' rumour roundup says the notch is expected to give way to a Dynamic Island, the body should be lighter, and the chips should stay M5 Pro and M5 Max. It will likely cost more than current models, which may stay on sale as the cheaper option.

M6 for the entry MacBook Pro and iMac

The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is reported to move to an M6 chip with no design change, and the 24-inch iMac is also expected to get M6.

An OLED iPad mini

The new iPad mini is rumoured to be the first non-Pro iPad with OLED, using the A20 Pro chip from the iPhone 18 Pro and moving the front camera to the landscape edge. MacRumors expects the price could rise by about $200 from the current $599.

When it goes on sale

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports the new devices could go on sale on Friday, 6 November. That is a report, not a confirmed date. There is no Thai price or release date yet.

In our view, the thing to watch is how usable touch on a Mac turns out to be, since macOS has always been designed around a mouse and trackpad. We'll know more once the hands-on impressions land after the 28th.
