Back in Kyoto again — today's breakfast was at ASAI Kyoto Shijo, with Thai-style rice porridge, a rice set with omelette and delicious green curry, plus American-style and Japanese-style breakfast sets, all tasty.
After eating, we walked around Gion Matsuri (祇園祭), a festival held only in summer, with a beautiful parade of floats fun to watch. Then we walked the Fushimi Inari Taisha Sembon Torii route, the row after row of red gates, plenty of fun photos and videos to take. If you're going up, wear comfortable shoes. We stopped for shaved ice at Fushimi Inari Sando Chaya on the walk back to the train station.
