The MICHELIN Guide announced its 2026 MICHELIN Key hotel selection today, 18 September. Thailand has 71 hotels and resorts on the list: 6 with Three Keys, 22 with Two Keys and 43 with One Key.
This year 15 hotels are new to the list and 5 have been promoted. Worldwide, 2,832 hotels in 79 countries hold a Key: 155 with Three Keys, 657 with Two Keys and 2,020 with One Key, including 470 new hotels and more than 80 promotions.

The headline: Capella Bangkok is the only hotel promoted to Three Keys this year. On the east bank of the Chao Phraya River and open since 2020, it pairs resort-style calm with easy access to Bangkok's old quarter, with leafy gardens, a riverside pool, restaurants and a spa.

Alongside the Keys, the MICHELIN Guide gave four special awards: Architecture & Design to Desert Rock Resort (AlUla, Saudi Arabia), Wellness to Schloss Elmau Luxury Spa Retreat & Cultural Hideaway (Germany), Opening of the Year to Airelles Palladio Venice (Italy) and Local Gateway to Londolozi Game Reserve (Kruger National Park, South Africa).
