Usually you only see seafood on ice at buffets, but today we found Seafood on Fire at Flavors restaurant, Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, long known for its international buffet. Dining runs a generous 4.5 hours, from 6-10:30 PM.
Pick your ingredients — river prawns, brown crab, Japanese scallops, New Zealand mussels, rock lobster, seabass — then choose your cooking style: Singapore-style chili crab stir-fry, tossed in fried cereal, curry powder stir-fry, holy basil stir-fry, or tom yum stir-fry, all cooked fresh to order by the chef.
There's a grill zone for river prawns, squid, sausages, lamb, beef, and pork, plus the usual seafood on ice, Thai, Indian, and Japanese zones, a BBQ grill with AUS prime rib, salmon, and lamb, and a full spread of Thai and international desserts.
