HEI YIN is the place! It opened our eyes to juicy hairy crab, and the Peking duck is excellent — Chinese food lovers need to go try this. This restaurant's Peking duck is the best out of everywhere we've ever tried. We started with steamed hairy crab in ginger tea — the crab roe is oozing, sweet, and loudly savory, eaten with hot ginger tea that cuts the richness perfectly. Next came the hairy crab xiao long bao, the best! Perfectly thin skin, and the moment you bite in, the soup inside bursts in your mouth with the aroma of crab roe filling your senses.
The pan-fried noodles topped with hairy crab sauce: al dente noodles pan-seared until crispy, topped with a thick, dense hairy crab sauce. The baked hairy crab with cheese is a well-executed fusion, with stretchy melted cheese over a generous layer of crab meat. And the signature lychee-wood-roasted Peking duck is unmissable — crackling crisp skin with a distinctive charcoal aroma; it's now our number-one Peking duck. We finished with the signature HEI YIN fried rice, absolutely loaded in every bite.
