Here's a delicious spot by the water in Bang Ta Boon. Today we're taking you to "Mae Luk Chan, Bang Ta Boon Branch," a local seafood restaurant with ingredients so fresh it's almost unfair — sit back, catch the breeze off the water, and enjoy a fantastic atmosphere.

Fried Squid with Egg and Garlic: bouncy squid fried with crispy fried garlic, dipped in a spicy seafood sauce — one bite and you can't stop. Squid Stir-Fried in Its Own Ink: rich, intense ink sauce with a deep aromatic kick, and chewy squid with a well-rounded richness.

Crab Omelet: crack it open and it's packed solid with crab meat, crispy outside and fluffy inside — a must for crab lovers. Grilled sea prawns are big and meaty, grilled fragrant with sweet, springy flesh. Fresh oysters are plump and juicy, eaten with fried garlic and a spicy dip.

Kua Curry with Crab, Crab Roe and Sea Blite: a rich coconut curry fragrant with curry paste, loaded with rich crab meat and roe. The crab lon dip, though, was a bit mild — we'd have liked it more intensely seasoned.

Overall: fresh, delicious, and fairly priced — good enough value that we want to come back. If you're driving through Phetchaburi/Ban Laem, stop by — plenty of parking and great service.
