Most health trackers share one problem: they look too much like gadgets, so plenty of people won't wear them to work or on a date. Garmin Cirqa tries to fix that. With no screen, it doesn't look like a silicone strap stuck on your wrist. It's just a soft fabric band, like the fabric bracelets sold in clothing shops. The sensor is a small plastic pod hidden in the band, and at a glance you'd never know it's a health tracker.

The highlight is the choice of 7 colours, both fun and understated: Citron Gray, Mauve, French Gray, Dark Olive, Captain Blue, French Blue and Black. They match both a minimalist workout look and a work outfit. It weighs only about 20 grams, and you can wear it on the wrist or the upper arm (the upper-arm band is sold separately in some markets) (review your data afterwards in the Garmin Connect app), depending on what kind of workout you're doing that day, or if you're heading to a formal event.

What sets it apart from an ordinary smartwatch is that it's designed to be worn to bed. There's no bright screen lighting up when you roll over in the middle of the night like a watch with a display, and a soft fabric band should be less bulky than sleeping in a big watch. (Garmin says it captures sleep data through the whole night; as for how it feels to wear, we haven't tested it yet.)
Another point worth mentioning: there's no monthly subscription fee like Whoop (Fitbit Air's core features are free to use, though Google Health Premium is an optional extra). Buy it once and use it. Battery lasts up to 10 days, and it's water-resistant enough for swimming (5 ATM). The launch price in Thailand is THB 6,990. If you're after an everyday accessory you can wear without thinking about matching it to your outfit, this one is genuinely worth watching.
