CMF Clip Pro: CMF's First Open-Ear Earbuds, Just 5.9 g Each, Coming to Thailand Late September 2026

Open-ear earbuds don't plug your ear canal, so you hear the world around you while listening to music or podcasts. That suits anyone walking through the city, crossing the street or working in an office and not wanting to be cut off. CMF, the sub-brand of Nothing, is now entering this market with the CMF Clip Pro, its first open-ear model. Nothing Thailand plans to sell it in Thailand at the end of September 2026.

Comfortable and barely there

The big challenge for open-ear earbuds is being comfortable while still sounding good. CMF uses a 3-point clip design that spreads the weight evenly across the ear instead of pressing on one spot. The C-bridge has a flexible titanium wire core wrapped in a soft, skin-friendly material, so it bends to fit many ear shapes.

The small sound pod sits naturally against the ear, and each earbud weighs about 5.9 g according to CMF. The brand says they are comfortable enough for all-day wear at work, on the commute or while exercising.

Sound: 10.8 mm drivers and LDAC

The earbuds use a 10.8 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver tuned for clear vocals and bright highs. Bass is the usual weak spot of open-ear designs, because low frequencies escape easily. CMF adds Ultra Bass Technology to boost the low end and reduce treble distortion at the same time.

Clip Pro is Hi-Res Audio Certified (a certification for high-detail audio) and supports three codecs (the formats your phone uses to send audio to the earbuds): LDAC, AAC and SBC. With a phone that supports LDAC you can stream high-quality music. AAC is the codec iPhones use.

Calls: 4 mics and a VPU to cut noise

For calls, Clip Pro has four HD microphones paired with Clear Voice Technology and a VPU (Voice Processing Unit, a chip dedicated to processing speech) that separates your voice from background noise in real time. CMF says calls stay clear on busy streets, in cafes, in offices and outdoors in strong wind.

There is also the Sound Seal System, which reduces sound leaking to people beside you by managing the mid and high frequencies. Open-ear earbuds can be heard by others, so this matters. You can set it in the Nothing X app to work only during calls, or during both calls and music.

Controls: the Smart Dial on the case

The design highlight is the Smart Dial, a round rotary control on the charging case. Use it to turn the volume up or down, control playback, answer calls or pair devices without unlocking your phone. Each earbud also has a touch control that CMF says works reliably during workouts or while wearing gloves.

Battery and other features

You get up to 10 hours of continuous playback per charge, and up to 32.5 hours in total with the charging case. In a rush, a 10-minute fast charge gives about 4 more hours.

Colours, price and where to buy

It comes in three colours: Dark Grey, Light Grey and Coral. It goes on sale officially in Thailand at the end of September 2026 through authorised dealers nationwide and the Nothing Store on Lazada, Shopee and TikTok Shop.
