NóMADA Bangkok is a South American restaurant in the Baan Dusit Thani compound on Soi Sala Daeng, letting us taste Peruvian, Chilean, Brazilian, and Argentine food from Chef Andre Josef Nweh Severino, an expert in open-fire cooking. The restaurant sits in the Pool Zone, right by the water, with a great atmosphere and a drinks bar surrounded by greenery.
Our favorite was the Peruvian-style grilled chicken, marinated for 24 hours and charcoal-grilled to fragrant, juicy, crispy-skinned perfection (550.-). The Picanha, grilled to medium-rare, comes with four sauces: chimichurri, aji rojo, seafood dip, and tamarind jaew (750/250g).

Side dishes include grilled baby carrots; Peruvian fries, thick-cut fried potatoes; Argentine chorizo, smoked and grilled; Calamari Fritos, wine-marinated fried squid; the NóMADA Crispy Cone with three types of tartare; ceviche with mango, a refreshingly sour sea bass dish; and Huancaina Maki, a salmon and cream cheese roll blending Japanese and South American styles.

Cocktails/mocktails start at 180–330 baht. Open Monday–Friday 5:00–10:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday 11:00 AM–10:00 PM. Tel: 02-200-9009.
